SUBJECT | RE: [hangout] Novell sees a 'both-source' future
|
Like I said, GNU/Linux has been riding on the coat tails of its own popularity long enough. Its time to push this thing. Both Novell and RedHat are stinking this whole thing up, the former with 'both-source' and the latter with 'its not ready for the desktop'. Open-Source is not a gimmick or a marketing ploy, it can potentially be a powerful business model. There has to be a GNU/Linux corporation that is not afraid to blaze its own trail and take leadership in the market place. Right now all these company's are simply afraid of setting a new and higher standard. They simply lack the business intestinal fortitude, its that simple.
