Technology department of a privately held Internet publishing company has an opening for a Technical Coordinator. This is a temporary position at our company in a casual company environment. The position is full time, includes no benefits, work location is Jersey City. Salary range is from 40K up to 50K based on experience and knowledge. Permanent positions with the company may become available during your contract period and you would be considered for any appropriate positions that open up but we can't offer or guarantee them.
Technical coordinators work in site support and development areas where they are assigned multiple projects under the guidance of a Technical Manager. They work on assigned tasks, coordinate whole assigned projects and work with both the producer, programmers and technical managers to complete those projects. Types of work you may be assigned include specifications writing, feeds manuipulation, templates/display level programming and troubleshooting. Work is very project or area specific and is a fusion of development and project management.
We are located in Journal Square, Jersey City, 1 block from the PATH train.
Skills Required: Excellent html ( using HTML tags in a text editor such as VI ) proficient in a command line UNIX environment PERL or the ability to troubleshoot PERL scripts SQL Excellent communications skills Excellent writing skills Project management skills/ability Ability to multi-task 4 year college degree
