Description: RichFX is growing rapidly and seeking a proven Perl Web Developer to take on a crucial role in the design and development of a Web Application for the administration and monitoring of complex multimedia production flows.
Over 60 customers have signed on to our ASP platform, which offers a variety of modules for Imaging Technology for E-commerce. Our rapidly growing customer base interacts with our Professional Services department through a Web interface, to control, and monitor the production process of their on-line catalogs and product presentation tools. As we start working on the next generation of our system we are increasing the size of our team. Our system is coded in Perl, in a Linux environment, and offer a Web Interface to multiple concurrent users.
Required skills: * At least 3 years of hands-on programming experience, preferably in Linux/Unix environment. * Explicit experience in development of Web Applications. * Profound knowledge and at least two years of experience in Perl programming is a must. Level of Perl programming must be beyond simple scripting: Object oriented Perl programming, familiarity with CPAN modules, etc. * Familiarity with W3C standards: HTML 4.0, CSS, and XML technologies. * Excellent understanding of Web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and Web servers (Apache, IIS), including administration capabilities. * Understanding and practical experience with SQL databases. * Familiarity with Macromedia Flash, including with Action Script is a plus. * Strong knowledge of one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, or Python, is a plus. * A team player comfortable with working on someone else’s code, and sharing his code.
