Hello:
A Major Financial Institution in NYC has an excellent opportunity for an Oracle DBA.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will work with existing database staff in these areas:
1)Ensuring the high availability, performance and security of production database environment.
2)Tuning at the Instance & SQL Statement Level.
3)Migrating from a centralized database to a distributed environment.
4)Supporting the test and development database environments.
5)Develop script based tools and reports in support of development.
Required skills:
1)3-5 years Oracle experience.
2)1+ year Oracle DBA experience in a 9iR2 environment.
3)Excellent SQL & KSH scripting skills.
4)Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
5)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferences:
BS in Computer Science.
Oracle DBA Certification.
Experience with:
Oracle Statspack, Oracle Replication, Oracle Standby, Perl, TCL, XSLT, Data Preprocessing.
