Sorry a bout the short notice but for some reason this was not on the NYLXS announcments for this week. Tommarow I will be speaking the first part of a three part inservice on Heimdal Kerberos 5, Cyrus SASL, and OpenLDAP. The first session will cover Heiamdal Kerberos 5 and the basics of configuring Cyrus SASL to authenticate using the GSSAIP mechanisim, we will also cover options for integrating kerberos 5 into pam and how to use pam to migrate your existing users to Kerberos 5. If we have time I will also start to cover TLS and why self signed certificats are not suitable for recent versions of OpenLDAP.
Session two will cover planing and building of a LDAP database, how to plan and write effective ACL's, and lets not forget how to Configure OpenLDAP its self
Session three we will cover how to configure services to utilize an OpenLDAP database. we will cover SAMBA 3, Emulating the entries in Apple Open Directory, configuring Linux clients, and more if we have time.
