SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] distro investigation for upcoming technight
|
I have been informed of several GPL violations made by a popular distribution of GNU/Linux and would like to call upon NYLXS to investigate during an upcoming technight. We would need a spare computer (something I assume is already in place) and a few interested people.
Please note that I am purposely withholding the name of the distro from this message because I don't want to sling FUD until these claims are either proven or dismissed by our investigation.
At this point, I'd just like to know who would be interested in attending technight on July 3rd to help with this investigation. I believe technight normally falls on Sundays now but imagine that the count would be low considering the 4th.
Best, Adam
