Description:
We are currently rebuilding and porting a large data driven website from a
Cold Fusion implementation to a Linux/Apache/MySQL/Mason environment. The
site is driven by automotive data and has several marketing and ecommerce
based functionality.
Required skills:
* A strong background in Perl progamming (two years minimum).
* A working knowledge of / comfort with the Unix OS (preferably Linux).
* Previous experience with mod_perl / HTML::Mason (or a comparable
templating system).
* At least two years experience with some major relational database
(Oracle, Sybase, Postgres, MySQL).
* HTML / Javascript must be a given.
* Excellent (yes excellent) communication skills. We work with a marketing
driven user group who need some to understand their business.
* The ability to work independently.
Desired skills:
* Previous experience in some ecommerce environment.
* Familiarity with Apache web server configuration.
* MySQL administration experience.
* Some knowledge of Cold Fusion.
* Some comfort level with Extreme Programming or other agile software
development methodology.
* Any Unix System Administration experience a plus.
* Any past experience with sales, marketing, advertising systems a plus.
