Description:
§ Design and develop custom client/server software for Lucasfilm’s
Intranet-based business applications. Applications will utilize standard
database engines and interfaces. Engineer will be responsible for
development of key libraries, interfaces and database schemas.
§ Assist in support for developed applications as needed, including
documentation and production integration of server applications. Interact
with users/staff to understand requirements, deployment of upgrade and
implementation, methodology, and best practices.
§ Willingness to complete unassigned tasks and occasionally take on
tasks beyond job scope.
§ Desire to continuously learn new skills, proactively share with
others, and work in a supportive manner with co-workers to improve the
performance of the division as a whole.
Required skills:
§ Minimum 3 years application development experience in C or PERL and
SQL.
§ Experience developing SQL based database driven applications.
Oracle experience preferred.
§ BS in computer science and 3-5 years related experience or an
equivalent combination of training and experience.
§ Prior background in software engineering using C or Perl in web
based projects.
§ Knowledge of Javascript, LDAP, XML, Apache Web Server and JAVA
desirable.
