I'm on the relevant mailing lists in regard to the anti-spam community, and your belief is the community belief as well. Although you and I may be talking about different "mail bombs". I'm thinking of the crap I'm getting that's got little purpose beside poisoning my Bayes databases.

I gather you haven't actually looked at the rules files... If I modify "Program X", which is what a rules insertion is, it's adding code to SA, then it's not "Program X"'s fault, really, it's mine, and the person who wrote the code I've inserted. If you're having trouble with rulesets part of the official SA release, that's different.
Still, you seem exasperated and I've never seen you post to the SA list. You should be there before you let it get you this annoyed. SA's not perfect, but it's got gobs of users, it's not treating most people too badly.
