Based in New York, SeniorBridge currently has 13 offices in 10 states
(Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida and Texas) with plans to open in all
major metropolitan markets. REQUIREMENTS We're looking for a programmer
to maintain and enhance an internal application that uses Apache,
Oracle, and mod_perl. The application does accounting reports,
employee/client management, real-time scheduling, and referral
management for a medium-size health care company. The software manages
hundreds of clients and employees nationwide, and is in continuous use
by over one hundred users.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with other programmers
on a large software project. Also desireable are good communications
skills and enthusiasm for politely handling users' requests.
The following are required of candidates : - at least 3 years of perl
programming experience - experience with object-oriented perl and
mod_perl - at least 3 years of experience working in a unix/linux
environment - at least 2 years of experience working with an RDBMS such
as mysql or oracle - experience programming in a team environment
Additionally, experience with the following would be useful : - oracle
tuning, configuration, and query optimization - design (i.e. html), with
an emphasis on usability - mod_perl handlers beyond Apache::Registry -
mod_perl optimization techniques - CVS or other source code management
systems - rsync, samba, HTML::Template, XML::Simple, LWP
