SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Using Perl with SWISH-E: Talk 3/16
|
Hello everyone:
I thought that some of you might like to know that I'll be giving a talk about "Using Perl With SWISH-E" this Tuesday, March 16 2004, at 6:15. It's free and you're all invited!
I know you've heard of Perl, a powerful programming language, but you've likely never heard of SWISH-E, a fast and flexible tool for creating custom indices on modern computers.
I'll be giving a presentation on Using Perl With SWISH-E on Linux, Tuesday, March 16 at 6:15pm in New York City at the NYPC Users Group Suite in the Ramada New Yorker Hotel, located at 481 8th Ave (near 34th St), Suite 1560, in Manhattan New York.
Here's a description of the talk: "SWISH-E enables the creation and searching of custom indices of arbitrary data. This talk will cover data from Josh's article "How To Index Anything", which was published in the July, 2003 issue of Linux Journal, and will also delve into some cool features and new applications not discussed in the article, and answer any questions attendees might have. Non-trivial real world examples will be discussed, as well as future plans for SWISH-E. " For those who want to check out what SWISH-E is all about, see http://swish-e.org or http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=6652
The presentation this Tuesday, March 16 2004 at 6:15pm will last about 45 minutes, and again, builds on my article about SWISH-E and Linux in the July 2003 edition of Linux Journal (link above).
Feel free to email me with any questions you have or topics you'd like to to cover. Look forward to seeing some of you there!
