->Just a brain dump here: ->Logo -> Tux dressed up as Statue of Liberty ->PROS - cute penguin -> - makes a connection with New York -> - makes a connection with concept of liberty ->CONS - maybe too aligned with Linux for some free software projects -> - possibly done before? I have a sneaking suspicion ->I've seen it before
we need broader.
->Names: -> ->New York Linux Day(s) -> - a classic. Actually why not New York LinuxTag?
we discussed. . .did you stop listening after your brilliant mission statement? ;-)
->Tech Freedom Expo NY -> - a bit unwieldy but emphasizes the core themes
best so far. . .
->Linux Universe -> - a bit broader than linux world :-) Maybe in use already -> ->.ORGy -> - My personal favorite. but a little risque and perhaps ->not broad enough
or construed as sexual.
->man hattan(1) -> - too obscure and geeky even for me :-) on the bright ->side, the number -> can increment each year!
woah. . .
again, i think we discussed to the nth degree today. . .but we need to keep things broadened out. . .i am strongly against "linux" in the title. i thought this was decided by all.
the name should reflect the following:
free and open source openness to those new to technology meeting .com and .org simple, easily redoable in different contexts
