SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] perl or python?
|
ok first, my apologies for missing the meeting today. but i did try, it was a bit far and also as i am going on a vacation coming weekend, i couldnt make it.
but i have been juggling with a question for a while.
perl or python?
i am at a stage where i can make a choice between perl & python for my future websites development. i have become more familiar with mod_perl, embperl, mason. but also looking at other server side possiblities for python (zope?).
also one advantage of python for me professionally would be Jython. the java extension of python. (but i hate its space-sensitive thingy)
i am asking this question on hangout because as i have made a choice of sticking with NYC for a while, after i am back from my vacation i will spend more time with nylxs and whatever i learn, perl or python i would like to use them in nylxs projects too.
so any advice would be helpful.
thanks,
::akbar
