SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] I will be away for a few months...and looking for help in ICT policy
|
As may already be known by some here, I am not going to be at LinuxWorld NYC this year. Instead, I am helping to host the first annual FS/OS Telephony summit in Aachen, Germany, from January 16th through the 22nd.
In addition, I expect to be out of the country a lot for the next month or so, which I wished to cover in brief. It is true I was invited to speak at the second annual GNU/Linux summit in Helsinki at the end of February, and I may yet make a "guest appearance" at the world wide software Libra conference in Spain and/or a few other events while I am "travelling abroad".
In addition to this, I have been asked to help draft ICT policy for a sovereign nation, which I may also visit in the next month. I would like to find someone who has direct experience with OS/FS related ICT policy drafts to speak with before I leave. My own very limited expertise in that area tends more to government procurement policies. Naturally I would like to say precisely where I am going, but given the reality that this list is monitored by a hostile corporation that engages in illegal behavior, I thought it best not to do so at this point in time. Anyone interested in discussing this may contact me directly in email; dyfet-at-gnu.org.
