I know the post says, reposting is NOT OK. But I thought this list deserves to know about this. I came across about this on craigslist.
I am hoping that there is a JAVA guru somewhere hiding in the hangout who would be able to make a case for this project, under the aegis of
nylxs is possible. i am comfortable with Java and think it could be used for this app. but i am not a guru yet to make a proposal and also if i
team up with someone then it would be more fun to do....
Any ideas?

We are seeking a company or individual to help us design and code a new product (and perhaps for ongoing maintenance and extension of the
application).
The product is a freestanding application (not a web page or site) that involves SSH/SFTP, IM, light payment processing (Pay Pal IPN is ok) for
membership dues and must run on Mac OS X, Linux and Windows.
We are open-minded about how this gets done: extending or combining existing open source projects is fine as long as the job gets done
properly. The ideal candidate is a cryptography-crazed computer scientist who can also write beautiful, well-commented and easy-to-
understand code.
We are seeking a proposal with a single project fee for the fully-delivered job. We have a document describing the key features of the product
and will work with candidates to make it as specific and extensive as it needs to be for you to comfortably bid on the project.
Please email a brief description of your (or your organization’s) background and credentials and we will follow up with a more detailed overview
of the product and to arrange meeting.
Preference will be given to candidates who can meet with us here in New York City.
