Well
The primary purpose of the retreat is to discuss creating a large Free Software expo to replace the yearly LWE program which is, not only going to Boston, but has increasingly failed to meet the needs of the community.
Then we have to discuss new class schedule for March.
then we have to discuss the stagnation of the Education Ciriculum and publishing our GNU/Linux One book.
Official dates, already on the calender, at Jan 30th until February 2nd
We are having our Board meeting tomorrow at the Marriot, so we should cememnt plans.
So far I have
Peter Siegel Evan Inker Akbar Pasha Ruben Safir Steve Milo Ray Connelly Adam Kosman
I'm hoping Michael and Billy Donahue is coming.
I want to go up there on Friday morning and arrive before sundown on Friday night. If enough people want to go with me, we can rent a van, but we need a driver. I'll pay for the van.
If someone wants to pass an announcement to NYLUG, that would be a good thing.
In addition to the above, I'm definetely taking this oppurtunity to quit smoking, drink beer, flirt with new women, and generally plan NOTHING outside of our meeting for future plans. The first person to complain about a lack of wireless access and broadband is going to be escorted by the local police outside of the town limits.
That being said, I'm bringing my laptop, the NYLXS video camera, and my new digital camera :)
