SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Lake Placid Driving Directions
|
For those not taking the NYLXS Fun Van, directions to Lake Placid are real simple, even M$ people can find Lake Placid (Website Info & Directions http://www.lakeplacidtravel.com/drive.html)
For those coming from Brooklyn:
1. Prospect Expressway to Brooklyn Battery Tunnel (You can also use Brooklyn Bridge but its quicker to use Tunnel)
2. FDR North to George Washington Bridge (Upper Level Only!) 3. GW Bridge to Route 9 North (Palisades Interstate Parkway Parkway) (Note:Great Scenery if you want to stop) http://www.nycroads.com/roads/palisades/ 4. Palisades Parkway to Exit 9W (I-87 North Albany) 5. Once on I-87 (NYS Thruway) cruise on for approx. 230 miles Please note that at Exit 23 Albany, you must follow the signs that point to I-87 NORTHWAY Montreal. Oncon I-87 Northway, Exits will start again at #1 so do not be surprised. 6. On I-87 Northway, go to Exit 30 (Lake Placid) 7. Most Hotels and such can be found off Local Route 9
Mileage: 300 Miles (approx) Travel Time 5 - 6 hours
Regards,
Evan M. Inker
