I have wonderful news for members of NYLXS.
NYLXS ahs officially recieved 501.c status as a tax expemt educational non-profit from the Internal Revenue Service this past week. As a result, the Organization is now poised to move forward with a number of important projects which were held up.
But before I get into those projects, which are better explained by Paul Marino and Michael Richardson, I want to take this good news to make a formal capital pledge to NYLXS.
I'm donated $10,000 to NYLXS which will be distributed to the board in the following manner, with approval of the NYLXS Board of Directors.
First, I'm donated as discressionary funds a total of $500 per month from February, 2004 to January, 2005, no strings attached.
In addition, I'm donated $2000 in a lump sum, to be paid before the first week of March for legal fees and administrative expenses relating to corperate issues or accounting.
Finally, I'm donated a lump sum of $2000 to be paid to NYLXS before April 1st, 2004 as seed money for any single NYLXS project in which the board approves. This funding can be used for the NYLXS education center, the library, equiptment for a specific project, as long as the money is used in one lump some.
I hope that this gives everyone coming to the NYLXS retreat in Lake Placid a reason to open a bottle of Brandy and make some warm cheers. And I hope that this also encourages others to make needed donations to NYLXS so that it can continue to meeting it's mission.
Ruben
