I still think we can get in if we push, but if not, we need to discuss now a initiatives to welcome people into town, and promotions during the expo.

YES DAMN IT

If you want

Why hasn't Noel Humprey's been put in charge of this at this junction. I really have very very very very very little faith in Tamara Stack. I know that Mike said he couldn't reach Noel, but he seems to be availabe at home at night and available in his office during the day. I spoke with him for about 2 hours last week. > > Apart from that, I volunteered to come up with a 'prototype' of new look for our website. > the current website inspires me to do much. What do you have in mind exactly. I think we need to template more of the current site.
The current technology that NYLXS runs off of is emperl, modperl, apache. I'm very reluctant to move off of this platform because of several reasons which include:
Recompiling for other shit is a PIA and I don't have time.
Developement for other shit is a PIA and requires learning a lot of useless secondary languange skills.

Build it. Most of the parts are already here from the announcements pages and the email suff.
that being said, a blog is a mailing list with less functionality, IMO. (I'm one one vote on the board and it's your subcommittee)

When David get's off his ass we'll begin. But it has to be after the first week of January.
Other issues: Novel hasn't paid Kings Games yet, which is pissing me off. We need to create a book store at the NYLXS Headquarters.
Joe Grastara is SUPPOSED to help make new events in Greenpoint.
I'd like to suggest that NYLXS have a retreat for hacking, discussion and downtime in Lake Placid this coming January or February.
