I'm very much in favor of doing something like this and it's very ambitious. If we start planning now, we can do an advanced educational show, perhaps in one of the hotels, or if we do it in the summer, we might be able to rope one of the universities into providing and underwriting space. Ideally, this would be 4 days, with a business, training and hacking sections running side by side, so that we can get, say, guys at IBM to be sitting with and working with folks from KDE, Open Office etc.
We'd need to first outline what we'd like to get done, so perhaps we can do a retreat to Lake Placid on that last week of January for planning and recreation.
