SUBJECT | Re: [hangout] My thoughts on LinuxWorld & the future

My thots on this. Something similar happened with Sun's Java One seminars. They were charging exhorbitant amount for attendence and there was nothing much technical stuff in the show, except business.
so a couple of guys joined together and came up with a new idea. a new semiar/show/symposium for java developers, which is very technical in nature and cheap and mostly for java hackers. they called it "No Fluff Just Stuff" Show. You can see it yourself here
http://www.nofluffjuststuff.com/index.jsp
The thing they do is to invite all these Java books authors whom java developers read day in and day out. they also invite all those open source java developers and its a great success.
if we are planning/thinking of something like that we need to look at their business model and come up with action plan.
merry christmas and happy holidays.
