I want to thank everyone for their participation and hard work in making the 2003 GNOME Developers Summit a
success, and to give indivduals their just recognition.
First, let me that our NYLXS President, Michael Richardson, for all the hard work in keeping all the pieces together,
including getting the registered check in tome to Brooklyn College and for interacting with the admnistration at
the student union at a time when it seemed that the wheels were falling off.
I'd like to thank Steve Milo for making sure that we had chairs and tables, for coordinating communications, ordering food,
and for running the NYLXS Public Relations.
I'd like to thank Dario and Paul Robert Marino for setting up the wireless networking and doing an emergency swap out of the
Kings Games router.
I'd like to thank our friend and member, Ceasar Vargus for helping to set up tables, and working with the conference
network work set up.
I'd like to thank Joe Grastara for getting succient beer to cover the conference and NYLXS Dinner, and for spending
over 20 hours at the event help users and smoothing out multiple issues with the participats as they occured.
Joe also built the mailing list application and registration setup programs for the internet.
I'd like to thank Joann Cripps for overseaing the Friday afternoon setup and making sure the chairs, tables, and
swag was all delivered and arrainged in an orderly fashion.
I'd like to thank Ray Connelly for helping lost people find their way to Brooklyn and New York, and being the first face
of NYLXS for the conference for many people.
I'd like to thank Akbar Pasha for putting up a wonderful conference website and working on the presentation of the schedule.
I'd like to thank David Sugar for initiially suggesting that NYLXS could help with the conference and interfacing with GNOME.
In addition, Dave spent 72 hours working all phases of the conference with technical and personal expertise.
I'd like to thank Richard Stallman for giving a wornderful presentation at the reception.
I'd like to thank Aaron Tennenbaum, chair of the Brooklyn College Computer Science Department for spouncing GNOME and
working with us.
I'd like to thank Mitzu Hardy for her hard work at Brooklyn College to make this event a fantastic success.
I'd like to thank Evan Inker for his oversight and patching work between different groups of peoples when communications
became strained all through the process.
I'd like to thank Nat Friedman and Luis Villa for their talks and leadership in GNOME.
I'd like to thank Alex Shvartzman for his dedication to making us all feel at home at Kings Games and for his warm friendship.
I'd like to thank Ellen Safir for helping this whole weekend in entertaining guests and helping with the NYLXS dinner
and setting up the NYLXS plates.
