This looks to me like it will really take off. They're even selling
computers specifically made for it, though any old 486 will work fine as
a terminal and have the power of the "server", or central computer,
whatever. In fact there's a patch to make the network operate as a
cluster, too, MOSIX.
I think it's a great thing for schools especially, where "musical chair"
public-use workstations are needed, there's many using it already it

Also for businesses, and it seems a notably good service for consultants
to offer. A client could "upgrade" all their old computers to a very
fast one simply by buying one fast server, spending basically nothing for
software and hardware, only on the installation and maintenance services
for the system - that it, all the invoice money goes for our loved
techiehead. In a public bidding for a network upgrade or install
contract, whoever used this would almost surely win on the price.
You might end up with a whole bunch of leftover hard drives from all the
workstations however :)
It would be nice to spend a couple of sessions playing around with this
thing. In fact I've noticed the LXNY computers at Kings Games have some
sort of boot-rom on the network cards already.
