Dear Jeff:
NYLXS is involved in developing Free Software ciriculm for public education. We are working with several Department of Education people in developing this, and looking at the ways which Free Software can be used to enhance education.
We don't work with Jay or any of his efforts, and he is not part of our organization.
Our experience in this area has shown that randomly instally free software computers in schools without a paln for their use which enhances education for children fails in the long run. If your interested in helping to develop the political background needed for the adaptation of Free Software programs, and to develop the necessary studies to show that such education is valuable to children, your welcom to join us in our efforts.
Contact Rob Marino, the Chairman of the NYLXS Education sub-committee at prmarino-at-nylxs.com and join the NYLXS mailing list, hangout-at-nylxs.com
