Job Description
Taking a major part in the design and development of a Web Application
aimed at administration and monitoring of complex multimedia production
flows. The application is written in Perl, in a Linux environment, and
offers a Web Interface to multiple concurrent users.
Required skills:
Job Requirements
· At least 3 years of hands-on programming experience, preferably in
Linux/Unix environment. Explicit experience in development of Web
Applications.
· Major knowledge and at least on year of experience in Perl
programming is a must. Level of Perl programming must be beyond simple
scripting: Object oriented Perl programming, deep familiarity with CPAN
modules, etc.
· Familiarity with W3C standards: HTML 4.0, CSS, and XML
technologies.
· Excellent understanding of Web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and Web
servers (Apache, IIS), including administration capabilities.
· Understanding and practical experience with SQL databases.
· Familiarity with Macromedia Flash, including with Action Script is
a plus.
· Strong knowledge of one or more of the following languages: C, C++,
Java, and Python, is a plus.
· A team player comfortable with working on someone else’s code, and
sharing his code.
