SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Remembering the Attachon New York
|
I'm listening to WINS and it seems someone has the brilent idea to make September 11th a nationwide day of Charity and Service and called it the One Day of Pay. I love it and outside of rebuilding the Towers with a national memorial to all the victems on the observatory, this is the best idea I've heard. In this regard, I suggest that NYLXS and the NYACSH Committee put aside September 11th for a special day of Service to the Community for the Free Software community.
In response to the attack on New York City, I kicked up plans for New Yorkers for Fair Use and laid out the foundations for NYLXS. NYLXS and NY Fair Use then proceeded to serve the community without thought of sacrifice beyound my wildest imagination, and returned to the community at large the fruits of our prosperity and blessings continually and every day. Despite many setbacks, both organizations have persurvered but I think we should take suggestions to do something very special for September. I'd like to take recommendations.
NY Fair Use is now called, the New York Association of Copyright Stakeholders. Let's put our heads together and do something special for Thursday, September 11th, 2003, and reaffirm our commitment to Freedom, and our future Freedom in the growing digital age in our very very great city.
