Description:
The ideal candidate should be able to work as a programmer and webmaster to
keep our web servers up and running. The responsibilities include, but are
not limited to, the following tasks:
- Analyze, design and develop database-driven web site projects using Perl,
JavaScript, HTML, CSS and MySQL
- Design and implement customized single sign-on authentication and
authorization procedures
- Modify and create new and existing systems or software applications for
specific client needs
- Participate in technical design, development, testing, implementation and
maintenance of web site enhancements
- Install and customize web applications and relevant Perl modules when
required
- Assist in maintaining systems documentation
- Work with Management team to define application scope and objectives
- Supports the culture and vision of the company
Required skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Perl, HTML, DHTML, Cascading Style Sheets,
JavaScript and MySQL
- 2+ years solid experience as a Perl developer in a web environment is
required
- Experience in relational DBMS and SQL technology is strongly recommended
- Commitment to deadlines and attention to details are a must
- Must possess the ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, combined with the
ability to work in a dynamic startup environment
Desired skills:
- Knowledge of MS SQL and Oracle database is preferable
- Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of web and
mail servers on Linux with Apache, CGI, mod_perl and DBI/DBD is a plus
