David, there is a NYLXS general membership and board meeting Monday 8:00 P.M. at the Brooklyn Marriott. Can you come and make a presentation for this?

I am proposing that NYLXS both lobby for and offers help in organizing guadec 5. The places they have chosen in the past had no strong local free software organizations for them to work with. Keep in mind that Guadec 5 is not an "unfunded" event, so I also see some oppertunity for some of our members to be rewarded financially for their time and efforts. I think it would generally be good for free software in the NYC area to have Guadec here, and
certainly it could raise the profile of NYLXS as well.
