Plus Three needs Perl programmers in its Washington, D.C. office. Plus
Three builds stable, secure and scalable web-present technology solutions
using best of breed Open Source and Free Software, including the GNU/Linux
operating system, mod_perl enabled Apache webserver, MySQL and PostgreSQL
databases, Perl, libxml & libxslt, and XML::Comma.
Plus Three uses eXtreme programming practices throughout the life-cycle of
a project, and applicants must be able to work directly with clients,
communicating clearly and effectively.
Required skills:
GNU/Linux, Perl and XML. If you are interested in and have a basic
understanding of these technologies, don’t hesitate to apply, even if you
are not yet a guru.
Desired skills:
Low level understanding of core internet protocols, including HTTP and
SMTP. Knowledge of XML standards including XSLT, WSD, XPath, XQuery and
XACML. Good understanding of relational databases including MySQL and
PostgreSQL. Mod_perl enabled Apache setup, configuration, administration
and tuning. Fundamental understanding of distributed internet
architecture, performance profiling and debugging. Solid Perl knowledge.
