If some one can help him let me know hes going to call me tomarow at work this way i can get more details also i think hes using compaq nettelligent network cards. They have always been a problem, espesialy when they catch fire. i Know the way to keep them from burning out is to reduce the throttle on the card, but i havent tried to use one, since i saw one catch fire on a machien running SuSE Linux 6.1.

Hi Rob, I'm a parent volunteer -at- Ballet Tech who is setting up their computer network. We were given a bunch of P-II 266Mh Compaqs. Where Windows recognized all the hardware, I left it on. I put SusE on the machines where Windows couldn't recognize the Nics.
I also beefed up the memory and put an additional 20 Gig HD in one of them and installed debian as my server. HOWEVER I need help with a couple of things on the server:
1. setting up Apache 2. installing an image of a Mac and windows encyclopedia on the server that can be accessed by machines throughout the school's network. 3. setting-up a print server to relieve congestion when everyone is tryoing to print at the same time.
I could also lend a hand with any work you might have. I'm no expert, but I do have some experience with linux.
Phil Beder.
