ESR and Peren's are useless. The object of Free Software is not to move the community to the center but is to move the center back to where it was before the extortion racket was accepted as a standard business model.

IMO - Bradly needs to be let go for a stronger advocate who sells free software without compromise. His apearence at egovos was very damaging and lent the prestige of the FSF to the egovos dog and pony show whether he was there as a private citiezen or not. Brad is a public figure. He has no private activities. He represents FSF even at a family bar-Mitzhah and especially at a public gathering such as egovos.

The problem with Richard's aproach is that people know they can distract him with a ton of details, each of which he analyzes while the public message goes out selling DRM and slaveware. It's something that Free Software needs to overcome.
I call this paralisis of analysis.
