i got a lot of help in setting up my sr7k, tried a lot of different distributions, saw some cool hardware and learned a bunch of things there
there was spaghetti cable tangled everywhere, several collections of a dozen distribution cd's, various machines innards exposed, liberal helpings of the traditional cursings at microsoft, sco, etc, bunches of people talking at the same time in obscure dialects of incomprehensible acronyms, and high powered networking gurus hanging around playing videogames
sort of like when a while back i'd go by william's shop to spend the evening arguing about the niceties of the fzr compared to the zx7, laugh at charlie's old rd350, and drool at the occasional nsr, among a pile of smelly oil pans and gasoline fumes, shiny tools and strange carb synchronizing gauges
anyway i don't know if it qualifies as a 'meet' - but i think it was quite good fun
