Well, everyone's original favorite theory looks more likely all the time. Darl McBride and co. took over at Caldera, looked around, saw the utter hopelessness of it all and decided they had nothing to lose by coming up with an extortion scheme and never taking their eyes off the prize unless/until the Lindon Sheriff shows up to padlock SCO headquarters.
