Are they 100% free? I don't think RH is 100% free like debian.
In any event, I have problems with the fact that YAST is not free, and it's becoming more of an issue on the practicle level as time goes by because SuSE is contantly altering YAST in an increasingly duffucuult and restricting process.
However, I use it because they do the best job of integrating the product, and IMO give the best hardware support. They also have the largest collection of packages whihc work, especially the games I like, and the educational software :)
They just seem to be, IMO, the most proactive of the vendors in getting things to work.
