coming from certain members of the audience. There was not much practical information given out, but more comments like,
"lisp predates the whole Unix thing so it is normal that there is not a good interface to the system."
Which leads one to wonder why if lisp is so wonderful, why has no one been able to code up a posix compliant systems interface module in any of the infinite variations of the language.
