Actually they don't ***need*** that and this is why every version of MS
word break the previou versions.
I considered this, and it's been reject. Furthermore, any Corperate Officer
who makes a decision on the IT infrastructure of their office based on this
reasoning should be given their golden parachute or brought to the SEC for
investigation.
And this is an example of the kind of market creation which I had spoken about in
my previous email. MS has marketed this and created this ***need*** ie: All
word processor have to rendor and look just like word, otherwise **nobody can talk**
No this is OBVIOUSLY not true, and it is imposible to for any competitor to
accomplish, and it has NOTHING TO DO with if the FS desktop is ready, which it is,
but limited corperate types who have been trained by Microsoft to think this way
have now found themselves painted into a corner.
As a Free Software corperation, I would tell a coperation using such reasoning to
justify there purchase of MS desktops, that they are putting their information and
corperate security at risk, and running the risk of allowing important confidential
information from being exposed by a virus, or intentianally lifted by MS Corp through
their DRMed operating system , and that IT Professional is leaving themselves at
***LEGAL RISK***.
That's right, this line of horse manure can get your ass slammed into a courtroom
to explain why your private communications have been exposed to the competition
at a loss of revenue and value to the corperation DUE TO YOUR NEGIGENCE.
However, if you use Free Software, you can never get yourself into this position. And
not only is the Free Software system more secure, stable and usable, but its applications
are more flexible and reliable.
Most of all, your company has complete control of its infrastructure and data when
you use Free Software on the desktop.
You have to think more than twice before putting insecure and UNAUDITED software
onto your corperate LAN. Because legally, you have no recorse when your information
becomes exposed.
Free Software desktops are more secure, give you a better degree of control, comes with
more software, and increases the productivity of your office with greater integration
and faster response times and customer service by Free Software vendors.
