More specifically here's what I'm gonna do; I'm ordering my projector for my home theater and need to build a media server/HTPC. The box will have two HD one 40-80 GB and a 120-200 GB. The larger drive will be dedicated to Mythtv (Tivo like PVR) and the other for all other system functions including MP3 storage.
Do I need to partion each drive, excluding MBR, with /, /usr, /var, /etc or can the larger drive be partioned just to hold Mythtv recordings?
As for a distro, I don't know yet. Probably Suse because I've used it before, it won't be RH but could be Mandrake.
