This is a reminder that effective Thursday, May 1, 2003, the website www.wdsny.org/provider will no longer be available for searching the list of eligible training providers (ETP). All providers who wish to retain their ETP status must visit the new website www.workforcenewyork.org/etp and activate their records. After April 30, records that have not been activated will not be available to those searching the state list.
If you have already activated your records on the new website, please disregard the remainder of this message.
Training providers who have not yet activated their records should follow the steps listed below and complete the process by April 30, 2003:
The activation process simply requires reviewing all entries on your location, contact and offering records and entering (or correcting) any information which may not have converted from the old database. In addition, you should take this opportunity to update any information on your records, such as phone numbers, contact person names and addresses. You will also be required to establish a "user name" and "password." Note that the new ETP system no longer uses your FEIN as a password.
The following provides instructions on how to activate your records. It will be helpful to print this email and use it as a reference.
Go to the New York State Workforce Eligible Training Provider (ETP) home page, www.workforcenewyork.org/etp.
Select the "PROVIDERS ENTER HERE" link, located in the upper right corner of the home page. This will bring up the PROVIDERS LOGIN page.
Select the "Activate Existing Provider Records" link under the EXISTING PROVIDERS tab. This will bring up the ACTIVATE EXISTING PROVIDER LOCATION page.
Enter your Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) in the "Identification Number" box, and then select the "Look-up Existing Provider Records" button (note, your FEIN is the same as your password on the old site). This will bring up a listing of your existing locations.
Select the "Activate and Manage This Location" link (located in the gold bar at the bottom of each location listing) to begin the location activation process. This will bring up a location information form, which must be completed at this time. Note, the form should only take a few minutes to complete (some of the fields have been pre-filled with information from the old database, and some of the fields are blank). The form asks for: * Location information; * Contact information for the location; * User name and Password for the location (note, a location contact who manages more than one location, may use the same password for each location but must specify a unique user name for each location); and * Provider assurances.
Complete the location information form, and select the "SUBMIT LOCATION INFORMATION" button at the bottom of the page. This will bring up a page stating "Activation of Provider Location was Successful." The system will also send an email to the location contact, containing the user name and password.
Select the "Click here to Login" button, and the system will return you to the PROVIDERS LOGIN page.
Enter your User name and Password under the Providers Login tab, and select the Login to System button. This will bring up the PROVIDER MANAGEMENT MAIN page.
Select the red or yellow text indicating Offerings to be Activated (on the PROVIDER MANAGEMENT MAIN page) to obtain a listing of the Offerings to be Activated. The words "Activate" and "Delete" appear next to each offering on the list.
Click on the word "Activate" to activate an offering. This brings up the Offering Information Form. Be sure to review and complete the form, and be sure to select an offering contact person before submitting the offering.
Please contact Clare Reynolds or myself, should you encounter any difficulties with the activation process (518) 457-1321, or have questions regarding the new website. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
