SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Windows to release code
|
Today's Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft will release the entire source code for their windows 2000 product for an additional license fee. The fee entities the user to make modifications which belong to Microsoft and does not allow them to freely distribute the revised code.
This is Microsoft's defense for the growth of linux.
