There environmentally unfriendly. This is a reality. It's not a hypothesis.
They are used as they are used. And even ONE is an environmentally unfriendly useless peice of plastic with a 50,000 year half life.
> >they make it too easy to raise prices, > uhh, how so more than anything else???
Because changing the price only takes a little data entry, and not the recall of 2.3 million tokens. This was a SELLING point of the new system.
> > >the fail to work far to often, > i've never had an issue in my use
That's not ENTIRELY honest, is it Ray. Either that or you don't use the subway or not. Just yeterday 3 turnstiles at Grand Central where people traps and backing up everyone at the station, creating ton of hostility in the main entrance as individual after individual innocently got tied to a difunctional turnstile.
> > >they slowed down the turnstile > not if people take their time and swipe unrushed >
THAT'S THE DEFINITION OF SLOW. The turnstile has become so slow that at the major stations people now have to line up to swipe the card, which was NEVER necessary at rush hour. It's become such a problem, that the MTA has devised gross systems to allow for 2 way traffic as the monkeys line up for the disfunctional turnstiles.

Some things don't need to change. Coin Money, the wheel, paned glass, the hammer, the electric plug, AND THE SUBWAY TOEKN
