SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Speaking at "OpenWeekend" and GNU Alexandria to be announced
|
I will be speaking for the Free Software Foundation (http://www.fsf.org) about government use of Free Software at this year's "OpenWeekend" (http://en.openweekend.cz), being held on the afternoon of March 15th, at the Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering at Czech Technical University, in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. In addition to speaking about free software adoption in the public sector, a new package, GNU Alexandria, will be introduced for public discussion. This new package is intended to enable wide access to e-government services by the visually impaired using the public telephone network. A pilot site for GNU Alexandria testing and development is being provided by Open Source Development Labs (http://www.osdlab.org).
