SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Re: [fairuse] NY Fair Use/NYLXS Dispute
|
The organization which is 'now near dissolution as a direct result of Ruben's ridiculous claims to dictatorship' met today. We had so many people that it was standing room only in Joe Maffia's rather large conference room. Jesica took a picture which we will probibly publish.
We covered nearly 20 topic of activity, including this issue.
NY Fair Use was voted, after Marco requested that it be brought to the board, to be folded into NYLXS formally. We had one decenting vote, although 2 board members were not there.
Big Joe Grastara will put up the minutes for the entire meetings.
But to summurize, changes are happening to the Journal, and election committee has been appointed, a finacial report was given which in summary says we are in the black and spent nearly 20 thousand dollars in Free Software and Fair Use activities last year, and we voted for a permanent ban of Jay Sulzbuger and Brett Wynkoop secondary to this fued.
And we also had the GNU/Linux 1 class....
So...
I guess there is a little bit of Jack Valenti in you Jay....
What was that comment about the Boston Strangler and VCRs?
Under my guildence, NYLXS and NY Fair Use has continually been molded into the strongest force for Free Software and Digital Rights in the Metro NYC Area...
And it will continue to do so under the next leadership.
We lead, others follow....
Our organization is built on love, mutual respect, and hard work.
And one last item. It's a bizzare thinking process which can conclude that helping get the internet site back on line, even though you wanted it more for your personal needs when you were staying here in my house than any interest in NYLXS or NY Fair Uses activities, and even though both you and Bret where trying to force a DSL solution on me which was unacceptable for my long term needs, and despite that Bret wanted to 'take the server' to his house a number of times, despite ALL that, it's a bizarre thinking process which then makes you conclude that the organization, or I personally owe you an eternal debt, and that therefore you have the right to abuse me by attempting to steal NY Fair Use, and refuse to give up NYLXS.org to the organization.
Fundemenatally, this is the issue Jay. Neither you or Bret have a mesurement of friendship which includes basic criteria such as mutual respect, selfless giving, loyalty or trust.
And that is the essential problem
So you have one less day to cut the deal...you give us NYXS.org back, and we'll assign you the rights to the brand NY Fair Use. Otherwise, expose yourselves as nothing more than the trouble makers and obstrustionists I've concluded you really are.
I DARE you to prove me wrong.
