Before you go off pulling the plug on the website lets take a another look.
First off, NYLXS should be self supporting. Member's dues are now being being paid and this should help out with the financial issue of keeping the website up. You must also allow the members to contribute to the cause. NYLXS is not your personal financer and you need to take care of your personal finances.
Joe M. is there enough money to keep the website functional and for how long? What is the exact costs involved, monthly or annually?
Secondly, as an organization with limited financial resources and active membership we need not to be trying to do it all at once. We should concentrate on one or two areas where we could really make an impact. If it's the school program than do it, if it's free software activism then do that.
I have accepted a staff position with an ad agency in Manhattan and will be able to commit to converting the Journal into html for the website. I will also volunteer to keep the site organized and updated.

And I need the journal for January finished, the finacial report, the Radio Show up and running weekly (which can not be done from a rackmount),
and more.
There are currently too many breakdowns and much of it starts with a failure of economic developement, the schools project is stalled and we need to mount an assualt on City Infrastructure to help break through much of the malaise and troubles we've experienced over the last 2 months. We also needed you at the dinner.
That's the point. There are other issues I need to cover on Monday.
If your interested in making a point, make it on Monday at 7PM at KR. It's a general membership meeting.
