My only comment is that they were not invited to be part of a panel or to participate in a debate. They submitted an abstract that was accepted for a direct speaker presentation to an audience. The abstract speaks for itself for what purpose they wish to do with their time. Focusing on questions and circumstances that do not represent the actual facts is irrelevant. Certainly the conference program comittee could choose to intervene to create different circumstances or facts.
