This has nothing to do with the stated goals of the conference. Maybe the university shouldn't sponsor it. That's up to the Univerity. In any event, Microsofts presense is not needed for dialogye. In fact, they are an impeedence to dialogue.
In fact, I attended an entire Free Software Conference in Borduax France with lots and lots of dialogue without a single representitive from Microsoft. It was the largest meeting of it's kind in Europe, LMS, in Europes largest University.
