Edin,
Membership in NYLXS has many benefits - besides participation in one of
many programs established by the organization, such as , the Free Software
Chamber of Commerce, Free Software Institute and oither Activities (
installfests, in-service lectures,and publication of the journal).
Membership allows us to fund these wonderful programs and deliver these
them at little or no cost to the participant.
Membership also allow you to have a say in the running of the organization.
For example - we will have nominations and elections in the coming months
to determine the leadership of NYLXS. Your vote would count.
The most important benefit is the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you
participate with a group of committed volunteers seeking to support the
free software movement.
