I did ask the list but there seemed nobody to have a solution. My isa PCMCIA card adaptor is found under the hardware installed but is mentioned as an unclasified device. In the howto's and other info there is always talk about laptop PCMCIA devices but these adaptors are only mentioned as an afterthought. Nothing is said about such a simple thing if it is possible to inform the system what kind of device it is if it does not recognise it by itself.
