SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] a few questions on the Journal
|
1. In the journal, the office suite is referred to as Open Office. According to the Open Office.org developers, the suite, due to copyright or trademark restrictions, must be referred to as Open Office.org, or OpenOffice.org, and not Open Office. What am I using in the journal?
2. In the following paragraph,
Meanwhile in France, Ruben Safir and Richard Stallman, over much wine, reviewed the political strategy for the action. The principals agreed to a joint effort of the FSF and NY, and even planned on backup contingencies including how to hold a protest outside of the building if we were eventually not allowed into the conference room.
are we really including "over much wine"?
and please clarify ...agreed to a joint effort of the FSF and NY?
is this NYFairUse? NY Fair Use? NYLXS?
3. Is it Michael or Micheal Richardson?
Other than the above, if I can have another day, I'd like to make a few corrections of my interruption at the Commerce Dept. on 7/17, and over the Jack Valenti VCR quote. If the editing has to be finished today, let me know the above info, and I'll have it ready this afternoon.
Vin.
