SUBJECT | Subject: [hangout] Suse 8.0 disks for installfest
|
I have the SUSE 8.0 disks that I borrowed a while back. I doubt I'll be able to make the installfest. I planned on burning copies, but ran out of disks, and then things came up.
I am going to make the iso images available for download/burning by NYLXS board members. There are 7 images. I'll email the link after I'm sure which server I'm going to use. I'll probably know the correct ip/url within the next few hours, I'll email it then. (I USED DD to make the images. IF THIS IS INCORRECT, LET ME KNOW NOW AND I'LL DO IT OVER.)
The upload speed from the server to the internet is about 130K, so if you are going to download the images, it's going to take some time. Work out who is going to do this, because it's going to slow my connection until completed, and two simultaneous downloads will really slow my connection down.
If Ruben, Michael, or anyone else wants the original disks for the installfest (next Tuesday?), I can mail them express mail tomorrow to Ruben's or Michael's or whomever's address.
If you want the disks mailed:
I need the exact address of whom to mail them to, including whose/department/phone number to put it to attention to if going to a business or office. If going to a home, make sure someone will be home to accept the delivery, or you may miss receiving them by Monday, or will have to go to the shipping company/post office to pick them up.
Due to my schedule tomorrow, I'll probably only be able to send them via US Postal Service/Express Mail. There is an express mail shipper drop box outside the post office. It is either UPS or Fedex (don't remember which). If you would like it shipped using that method, let me know.
Vin.
