Ruben,
Since you have regular contact with Weiner's office, and other elected reps, we need to try and get the demo announcement emailed to the entire New York City Council, New York State Senators, and NYS congressional representatives. Try anyone, or all.
While Gnu/Linux will help schools and funding (which is the pitch to reach the NYC Council) I have more info on how it will help lower the contract costs of NYC and NYS construction projects (among many other ways it can help lower costs). It's small, and I'll have more details after the demo, but we need to get reps from the legislators' offices there to see the demo, and understand what Gnu/Linux is all about.
If you don't have time for this, email me any info you have, and I'll see what I can do tomorrow.
